“I Refuse!!” confronts the objectification of women and patriarchal expectations. Wrapped herself in a white mosquito net, the artist creates a protective boundary against external “parasites” while confronting imposed social norms. She then ties knots in a fine red thread, traditionally associated with making wishes, transforming the ritual into a symbolic gesture of escape, freedom, and self-determination.
